Now Offering MAKOplasty® Robotic Joint Replacement

The Dallas Limb Restoration Center now offers Makoplasty robotic assisted partial knee replacement for patients living with early to mid stage osteoarthritis of the knee. Unlike total knee replacement Makoplasty is a resurfacing procedure that can focus only on the diseased component of the knee joint. This procedure involves a smaller incision and less bone removal then traditional knee replacement. The ACL and PCL tendons are also undisturbed resulting in a more stable natural feeling knee. The robot allows the surgeon to achieve optimal implant placement which is confirmed through the robotic software. Optimal implant placement results in a longer lasting knee prosthesis and decreases the probability of needing a revision in the near future. If you are suffering from painful early to mid stage osteoarthritis of the knee the Makoplasty procedure may be right for you. Learn More »
